Jacquère
Its synonyms are Cugnette, Martin, Cot Blanc, Plant des Abymes de Myans
Before phylloxera this variety was only really found in the Abymes of Myans and the district of Chambery. It is now the most planted white grape variety in Savoie, though still mainly around Abymes and Apremont. It makes a light, relatively neutral white wine with relatively high acidity.
Writer Henri Bordeaux (1870-1963) described it as "the wine that leaves your head clear, once it has taken your legs away."
